Russian general killed in explosion in Moscow
The Russian lieutenant general Igor Kirillov was killed during the night in a bomb explosion in Moscow, state Russian media write.
According to Russian authorities, the bomb had been hidden in an electric scooter which in turn had been placed outside a residential building.
The general's assistant is also said to have been killed.
Igor Kirillov was the head of the Russian military's chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons department.
Yesterday, Ukraine established a criminal investigation against him as he is suspected of being the one who ordered the use of gas against Ukrainian troops at the front. Ukrainian soldiers are said to have been attacked with chemical weapons more than 4,800 times.
