Russia is preparing an offensive on Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa to link the occupied Crimean corridor with Transnistria, – Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Valery Prozapas.
"The Russians are preparing bridgeheads for an offensive, including Zaporizhzhia. This must be clearly understood. For them, Zaporizhzhia is one of the strategic cities, although, of course, it is not as a priority as the Odesa direction. Because their main strategic task is to connect the occupied Crimean corridor with Transnistria, capturing Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa.
Of course, they need Zaporizhzhia for this, because it is an outpost, which, having captured it, they will be able to advance further south, already forcing the Dnipro not where they are comfortable, in the Kherson area, namely from Zaporizhzhia. But this does not mean that they will be able to implement their plans," Prozapas said.
